Obituary

William J. Wenner, 86, of Minersville, passed away Saturday, March 18th, at ManorCare Health Services, Pottsville. William was born in York Tunnel, on June 27, 1936, a son of the late Margaret (Updegrove) and Frederick Wenner. He was the widower of Dolores A. (Strange) Wenner. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Minersville. William was last employed at EXXON Chemical, MarLin. He had previously been a very active member of the Minersville Little League Softball program. In addition to his parents, and his wife, Dolores, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Fred, and Robert Wenner. William is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Wenner, and Bonnie, wife of Richard H. Hablett. He is also survived by a brother, Richard, husband of Margaret Wenner. William is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley wife of John Grilli, Richard W. Hablett and his companion Fawn Jessman and daughter Meara, and his Great granddaughter Aria Grilli. Nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital. https://stjudememorialfoundation.org/ways-to-give/ Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery.
