William L. Houser , Jr., 74, of Primrose, passed away peacefully, May 11, 2024, surrounded by friends and family. He was born in Pottsville, Pa. on May 24, 1949, a son of the late Louise (Kordish) and William L. Houser, Sr. Although William went by the name Bill or Howie he enjoyed being called Pappy the most. He was a 1967 graduate of Minersville High School and got drafted into the Vietnam war in 1970-1972 "Blackhorse Regiment". He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, softball, playing cards and loved the game of darts. The majority of his working career was spent at the United Postal Service until he retired at the age of 52. Later in life he spent most of his time making phone calls to talk to his Pappy boys, family and friends and going on joy rides to the best places to eat. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his former wife, Diane (Lisowski) Houser. He is survived by two daughters, Kristie Eichenberg, and Kimberly, wife of Mickey Moore as well as a son, Edwin Houser. He is also survived by a sister, Linda Rizzardi, and a brother, Robert “Lefty” Houser. Grandchildren Mason & Caden Houser, Pierce Eichenberg, and Tucker & Finn Moore. Cousins, nieces, and nephews as well as his daily companion, his dog Benji. A Visitation shall be held 9:00 to 11:00 am Saturday, May 18th at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Kenton Martin officiant. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
