Veronica “Vicki” Korrubin, 93, of Primrose, passed away Wednesday, March 31st, at LVHN Schuylkill, Pottsville.
Veronica was born in BranchDale on November 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Mary (Danatsko) and George Holige.
She was the widow of Joseph “Chippy” Korrubin, who died June 3, 2009, of whom she married October 21, 1950. She was once a Seamstress in the local garment industry at Honey Bee Blouse in BranchDale.
Veronica was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville and formerly a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Minersville.
In addition to her parents and her husband Joseph, she was preceded in death by her Brother, John Holige and her Sister, Mary Cherluka.
Veronica is survived by two daughters, Georgine Korrubin, and Darlene, wife of John Verbosh, a son, Michael, husband of Robin Korrubin.
She is also survived by grandchildren; Andrew Korrubin, Matthew Korrubin, Kristina Kolberg, Jennifer Pierron, Jason Verbosh, Great grandchildren; Kayla Kolberg, Milo Kolberg Jr., Madison Kolberg, Tristan Pierron, and Kai Pierron.
A Parastas will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, April 6th at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. Minersville with visitation following until 8:00 pm. Additional Visitation Wednesday morning 6:30 to 9:30 am.
A Requiem Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10:00 am in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville, with Reverend Mark Fesniak officiating. Interment Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church.
