Thomas J Bosack, Sr., 86, of Mar-Lin, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital with his family at his side.
Born on October 31st, 1935, in Mar-Lin, PA, to the late John and Anna (Kaufman) Bosack.
Thomas was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School in 1953 and Thaddeus Stevens Trade School in 1956. He was a union carpenter until his retirement at the age of 62. He also served as the Tax Collector for Norwegian Township for many years and enjoyed coaching little league baseball at Railway Park, Pottsville. He was an avid Penn State Football fan, a season ticket holder having attended games for most of his life. Tom loved to work in his garden and watch Phillies baseball. He was a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish and current Saint Michaels of the Holy Family Parish, Minersville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Kiselica), sister Mary (Julian), and brothers, John, William, Francis, and Robert.
He is survived by his four children, Maria (Joseph) Angelo, Elaine (Timothy) Woods, Thomas (fiancé Stacey George) Bosack, Joseph (Christina DiCello) Bosack, seven grandchildren, Brendan, Quinn, Sean, Caitlin, Sebastian, Ethan, and Dominic. Numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph, and James. And his sister, Theresa. A Mass of Christian Burial shall be held 10:00 am Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Church of the Holy Family Parish, Minersville with Reverend Jason F. Stokes celebrant. All are invited to attend a visitation Saturday 8:00 to 9:30 am at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. Interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Minersville. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to The Holy Family Parish. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
