Sandra M. Spirko, 79, of Heritage Heights, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 28th at LVHN Schuylkill East.
She was born July 8, 1946, a daughter of Frank and Gladys (Barton) Rose.
She attended M.A.H.S. and was a life-long member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, Minersville.
Throughout her life she was employed as a cook in various restaurants of which was her passion. She greatly enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She will be remembered for being the life of the party and willing to give others the shirt of her back. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was loved just the same.
In addition to her parent’s, she was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Shaak, her grandson Joab, brothers, Andrew “Butchie” Rose, Francis “Fritz” Rose, William “Billy” Rose, sisters, Gail, and Barbara “Babzy” Rose
. She is survived by her son, Michael Spirko and a daughter, Tara Halupa, a sister Rose Marie Kuehn, brothers, Jimmy and Robbie Rose, Grandchildren, Noah Shaak, Isaiah, and Nathaniel Halupa, of whom she loved whole-heartedly. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral home Inc., Minersville.
