Sandra Lynn "Sandy" Fox

Sandra L. “Sandy” Fox, 75, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday, August 17th, at UPMC, West Shore after a 2 year battle with breast cancer. It would be wrong to say she lost her battle, because she never stopped fighting. Born in Pottsville, Pa. on January 31, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Kramer) Sausnock and Stephen Sausnock. She was a member of Saint Ambrose Church of Schuylkill Haven. Sandy was a graduate of Minersville Area high School Class of 1964. She was previously the Head Cashier at Hills Dept. Store until 1987. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis A. Fox in 1994. Sandy is survived by her spouse, Daniel R. Foose, a daughter, Lori Fox-Schaeffer, wife of Jeff, two sons Francis, husband of Suzanne Fox, Peter Fox and companion, Jeffrey Hawks. She is also survived by a granddaughter Courtney Fox-Johns, wife of Tony. A grandson, Ryan Fox & fiancée Courtney Cabrera, and a special cousin, Richard Pascuzzo. Sandy enjoyed her time with her family and loved her autumn trips to Maine, enjoying her lobster and lighthouses with Dan. And she loved her dog Baxter. She left us beautiful memories. Her love is still our guide. Although we cannot see her, she’ll always be by our side. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Ambrose Church. Interment in Saint Ambrose Cemetery. Contributions in her memory can be made to the SPCA or the American Cancer Society. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
