Richard Krasnitsky Obituary

Richard J. Krasnitsky, 80, of West West Terrace, Branch twp., passed away at Thursday, November 12th, in his home. Richard was born in Pottsville, Pa. on July 3, 1940, a son of the late Elvina (Lavenburg) and Adam G. Krasnitsky. He was the husband of Annamary M. (Mahoney) Krasnitsky. He was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Church of the Holy Family Parish, Minersville. Richard served in the U.S. Army. He was a senior member of the Cass Township 57-58 Unscored upon football team, was a little league baseball coach for Branch Township, and was an active member and treasurer for the AFL-CIO union for many years. He worked at Hoffman Industries in Sinking Spring for 39 years. He was an avid High school sports fan especially Nativity BVM football and basketball teams. He loved to travel, watch old westerns, and spend time with his five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Sister, Georgine Reinhart and Brother, Kenny Krasnitsky. Richard is survived by his wife Annamary, a daughter, Maria H., wife of Benny Rowlands, a son, Joseph R., husband of Leanne Krasnitsky. Richard is also survived by three sisters, Joanne Himmelberger, Darlene Morgan, and Linda Wagner. Two brothers, James Krasnitsky and George Krasnitsky. He is also survived by his grandchildren; McKayla, Meghan, & Dominic Rowlands. Olivia & Quinn Krasnitsky A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Wednesday, November 18th at Saint Michael the Archangel Church of the Holy Family Parish in Minersville, with Reverend Jason F. Stokes officiating. All are respectfully invited to attend a visitation Wednesday morning with calling hours from 8:15 to 9:00 am at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. Interment at St. Kieran #2 Cemetery In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Parish or Nativity BVM General Fund. Due to COVID-19, all recommended social distancing, mask requirements, and public safety guidelines will be followed. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
