Rev. Leona Wiles Obituary

Rev. Leona M. (Kuehn) Wiles, whose life was dedicated to ministry, prayer, and service, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2025, at the age of 91.

She lived her faith boldly and departed this life with the same joyful assurance in God's promise. Leona was born on August 21, 1933, in Branchdale, PA, and was raised on Stone Row. She was the beloved daughter of the late Slade Barton Kuehn and Mary (Cherrybon) Kuehn.

Leona is lovingly remembered by her children: Fred Kolomyic of Port Orange, FL; Kenneth Kolomyic of Winchester, VA; and Tracey Anthony (Shawn) of Virginia Beach, VA. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Kristy Kolomyic, Zoe Anthony (Colin Butler), Isabel Mitchell (Walker), and Lukas Anthony, as well as her great-granddaughter, Raina Lee Tanner. Leona is also survived by her sister, Patricia Slavinski of Riverdale, MD, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, dear friends, and members of her church community.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Kuehn and Barbara Craig (Ronnie); her brothers James Kuehn (Dolly) and Robert Kuehn (Carolyn); and her daughter-in-law, Darlene Kolomyic, beloved wife of Fred.

Leona was a trailblazer among working women in the 1960s, managing apartment complexes in Maryland with strength and grace. Later in life, she embraced her true calling as an ordained minister with Sharing Time Ministries, serving faithfully in Florida and North Carolina. Through her ministry, many came to know Christ, and countless more felt the power of His love through her. A fierce and faithful prayer warrior, she carried the burdens of others to the Lord with unwavering belief. With every prayer, every song, every word of Scripture spoken in truth and love, she left a legacy of light and devotion that will continue through all those she touched. Her life was a living testimony, and her reward is now eternal.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
