Peter Joseph Walsh

Peter Joseph Walsh. 68, of Wasilla, Alaska, formerly of Minersville, was born on February 19, 1954 in Pottsville, PA. to Mary and Larry Walsh. He grew up working in the coal mines at a young age which framed his notorious work ethic. In Peter's free time he developed a love for the outdoors. He met the love of his life in the summer of 1970, Alice Walsh. Peter's size and strength made him a standout athlete in wrestling and football. He went on to play college football and graduated from Elon University with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education. With sixty dollars in hand, he decided to chase the American Dream and move north to the Last Frontier. Peter quickly found employment in the oil and gas industry. He married Alice on July 5, 1980. Peter is preceded in death by his mother (Mary), Father(Larry), Sister (Christine), and Brother (Tony). He is survived by his loving wife Alice, sons Matthew (Tristan, Aurora, Austin), Christopher (Kristel, Leah, Finley, Noah), daughter Sarah (Michael), and loyal Chesapeake, Bo Raider Blue. His strength, love, and dedication has been a testament to us all and will live on through those he loved.
