Mary Lisowski Obituary

Mary Louise Lisowski, 86, of Primrose passed away Saturday, September 26th, at at her residence. MaryLou was born in Minersville, Pa. on March 23, 1934, a daughter of the late Anna (Motto) and Paul Scholtes. She was the widow of John Lisowski. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Minersville. She was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School Class of 1951.She was employed as a Driver for the Minersville Area School District. A past member of Our Lady of Mount Camel & St. Vincent School P.T.A., Aux. Member of Good Will Fire Dept., South Cass Fire Dept., EMT Minersville Ambulance, Duty Constable of elections Cass Twp. South, In addition to her parents, and her husband , John, she was preceded in death by a brother Francis Scholtes. Mary Lou is survived by four daughters, JoAnn, wife of Gene Frey Diane Houser, MaryLou, wife of Greg Grigalonis, Jean, wife of Michael Mahall two sons, John Jr., husband of Annette Lisowski and Michael husband of JoeAnn Lisowski. She is also survived by a sister, Anna Zis and a brother, Paul Scholtes She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 5th at Saint Michael the Archangel Church of the Holy Family Parish in Minersville, with Reverend Jason F. Stokes officiating. Friends are invited to call 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home, Minersville. Interment at St. Vincent De Paul #2 Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Center for Special Learning 2075 W Norwegian St, Pottsville, PA 17901 Due to COVID-19, all recommended social distancing, mask requirements, and public safety guidelines will be followed.
