Martin William Barrett

Martin William Barrett, 85, of Phoenix Park passed away Friday, June 12th, after a brief stay at Luther Ridge Assisted Living Center.

Martin was born in Harrisburg, Pa. on July 11, 1940, a son of the late Sara Devona (Scheibelhut) and Edgar Roy Barrett.

He was the husband of Sandra L. (Hubler) Barrett.

He was a member of Phoenix Park Union Church. 

Martin served in the U.S. Marines as a Cpl. in the Vietnam War.

Martin was formerly employed as a Supervisor at Exxon Chemical Co. Marlin., having retired in 1995.

He was a member of The Gideons International, Executive Board of the Phoenix Park Union Church, as well as a Branch Twp. Constable.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jaqueline Ibaugh, Laura Harman, Eleanor Benica, as well as his brothers; Edgar Barrett Jr., and George Barrett.

Martin is survived by his wife Sandra, three daughters, Shelley, wife of Rick Brokhoff, Holly Barrett and husband, Joseph Kurdinsky, and Jill, wife of Mark Voydik, a son, Martin, husband of Heather Barrett, a sister, Audrey Weist. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christian husband of Erica Shuman, Adam & David Voydik, Keith Brokhoff, Emma & Somer Barrett. Great grandchildren, Carson and Ava Shuman, Axel, Elijah, Kimber, Cohen and Tallulah Voydik.

At the request of the family all services are private.

Interment with military honors Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Phoenix Park Union Church.
