John Kostura Jr. Obituary

John Kostura, Jr., 85, of Minersville, passed away Wednesday, August 11th, at his home. John was born in Duncott, Pa. on February 15, 1936, a son of the late Veronica “Verna” (Lohin) and John Kostura, Sr. He was the husband of Sylvia Marie (Setlock) Kostura to whom he married on September 17, 1960. He was a graduate Minersville High School Class of 1953 He served in the U.S. Air Force throughout the world. He was employed as an Accountant. John was a skilled saxophonist playing for local bands such as Chubby & The Royal's, The Good Life & Johnny K & Co. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death a brother, Paul Kostura. John is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia, a daughter, Tina M Kostura a son, John III, husband of Simone Kostura. John is also survived by four brothers, Joseph, Eugene, Emil, and Emery Kostura He is also survived by a Grandadaughter, Shardae, Great Grandchildren, Zoey & Cooper. All services are private. Interment with military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. entrusted with the arrangements.
