John A. Carr, 72, of Buck Run, passed away Friday, December 27th.. John was born in Pottsville, Pa. on November 14, 1952, a son of the late Helen (Pytko) and John Carr. He was the husband of Eleanor (Kuperavage) Carr. John was a retired Construction Foreman and currently Foster Township Supervisor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Carr. John is survived by his wife, Eleanor, a daughter, Anna, wife of John Zuratt, four sons Brian, husband of Melissa Carr, Matt, husband of Katie Carr, Patrick Carr, and Shawn Carr. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Blase Carr, Aidan Carr, Frankie Carr, Jace Zuratt, John-John Zuratt, Dante Carr, Karlie Carr, Aunts, Dolores Leister, Rosalie Gelches, Nephews, Anthony and David Carr, a niece, Serena Carr. John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was routinely fundraising selling gun club tickets and enjoyed playing the lottery. John was always on the go and would was regular attendee at his grandchildren’s sporting and school activities. He was truly loved and will be missed by his family and friends more than he could ever know. A Visitation will be held 8:30:00 to 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 4th at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. in Minersville. .A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church of the Holy Family Parish in Minersville. Interment at St. Kieran #2 Cemetery.Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
