Joan Carolyn Duffy

Joan Carolyn Warner Duffy, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2021 in Danville, KY of natural causes. She grew up in Minersville, PA. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Bacteriology from Penn State University. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Donald Duffy. She loved gardening and was a member of the Woodsfield Garden Club. She was actively involved in her churches in both PA and OH. She loved to sing and belonged to the Monroe Co. Chorus and the Schuylkill Co. Chorus for many years. She is survived by her children Charles (Casey) Duffy and his wife Barbara; her daughter Donna Duffy Boch and her husband David Boch. Her four grandchildren are Benedict Boch, Michael Boch, Christopher Duffy and Sarah Hymer Duffy and her husband, John Hymer. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Peace Cemetery on Aug. 21 at 11:00 am. Donations in memory of Joan can be made to the Hillside SPCA , P.O.Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
