James Joseph Orff, 52, of Minersville, passed away Sunday, May 28th, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. James was born in Pottsville, Pa. on December 20, 1970, a son of Joan M. (Lord) Orff and the late Charles F. Orff. He was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel of the Holy Family Parish Minersville. He was employed in the Receiving Dept. at Wegmans Distribution Center. He was formerly employed in receiving at Boscovs Department store for 30 years. He was a Member of the Good Intent #1 Fire Co., Llewellyn, and the New Minersville Fire Co. In addition to his mother, Joan, James is survived by a sister, Nicole M. Orff, as well as a companion, Lynn Sabadish. All are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 1st at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. As well as from 7:00 am to 9:30 am Friday morning at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 2nd at Saint Michael the Archangel of the Holy Family Parish in Minersville, with Reverend Jason F. Stokes officiating. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Parish Memorial Fund. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
