James Juranis Obituary

James Anthony Juranis, 72, of Saint Clair, passed away Tuesday, September 3rd, at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jim was born in Pottsville, on January 29, 1952, a son of the late Dorothy (Quinn) and Anthony J. Juranis. He was the husband of Ruth Ann (Vockie) Juranis. He was employed as an Optician for numerous years. However, he was more so known as a local musician and fixture in the music community whose impact is unmeasurable. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend, and mentor. He is loved. He will be missed by many. Jim is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann, a daughter, Jessica A. Masser two sons Jason A. Juranis, and Daniel A. Juranis. He is also survived by a sister, Barbara Dolan, and by his grandchildren Taylor, Emma, Lily, Coraline, and Josephine.  All are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation 9:00:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21st at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. Minersville. A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Hoffman officiating.
