James Bruce Harris, 85, Pottsville passed away unexpectedly January 10th at his home. He was born in Detroit, MI on July 23, 1938, son of the late Anna (Fatula) and Harold Harris. He was a member of the Church of St. Patrick, Pottsville. He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Kreig Lumber and Steve’s Paneling Center. He was a founding member of the 25 Pines Club, and he played in numerous golf leagues. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia L. (Brennan). Brothers: Robert and Peter Harris. Sisters: Joan Mest, Barbara Seacrist, and Arlene Harris. James is survived by daughters Sandra (Daniel Koury), Christine (Brian Gottshall), and son Kevin Harris (Tara). He is also survived by sisters Donna (Angelo Iafrate) and Patricia Harris, brothers Jerome (Bobbie) and Thomas Harris. Grandchildren; Nicole, Steven, Kayla, Natalie, Zachary, Daniel Jr., Taylor, Emily, Brianna, Brian Jr. Great Grandchildren; Kaedan, Tyler, Killian, Jason, Hudson. All are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 15th at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home, Inc. 104 S. 4th St., Minersville, PA. as well as 7:00 to 9:15 am on Tuesday morning, January 16th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Church of Saint Patrick, Pottsville with the Father Phil Rodgers celebrant. Internment at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside Pottsville PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pottsville Free Public Library, 215 W. Market Street, Pottsville PA 17901 Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
