Howard Schaeffer Mengel Jr.

Howard Schaeffer Mengel, Jr., 85, of W. Brunswick Twp., passed away Sunday, June 14th, at The Gardens of York Terrace, Pottsville.

Howard was born in W. Brunswick Twp, on July 30, 1940, a son of the late Florence (Kohler) and Howard S Mengel, Sr.

He was the husband of Nancy Louise (Fromm) Mengel.

Howard was a member of the  New Awakening Church of Orwigsburg. 

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a self-employed Contractor primarily in home repair.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Mengel, and William Mengel, and a sister, Ethel Rarick.

Howard is survived by his wife, Nancy, two daughters, Sandra Bigg and Cynthia Bell, as well as a son, Steven Verdensky. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

All services are private at the convenience of the family.

Interment Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
