Helen Kathryn Sorokach

Helen Kathryn Sorokach, 92, of Pottsville, passed away Monday, December 14th, at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. N. Manhein Twp. Helen was born in Pottsville, Pa. on February 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Kathryn (Feeley) and Bernard Maguire. She was the widow of Joseph Sorokach who died November 12, 2011, having been married for 52 years. She was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church of Port Carbon and St. Clare of Assisi Church of Saint Clair. Helen was a Graduate of St. Stephen Catholic High School, Port Carbon. She had worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry. Helen is survived by two daughters, Kay Anne, wife of Tom Barber, Minersville, and Bernadette Sorokach, Pottsville. She is also survived by grandchildren Christian Barber of Fairfax VA. and Ashley Barber, Hummelstown. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions. All Services are private at the convenience of family.
