Harold J. Royal, 68, of Pottsville, formerly of Minersville, passed away Monday, July 1st. Harry was born in Pottsville, Pa. on July 22, 1955, a son of the late Roberta (Whiteman) and Jack Smythe. He was a graduate of Minersville Area High School Class of 1973. Harry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching his grandsons play sports, playing horseshoes, darts and other competitive games at local watering holes. "Taking the gun for a walk” (hunting), or go drown some worms (fishing) and various other activities too many to mention. Harry was always willing to help his fellow man. He would give you the shirt off his back. If you needed a ride...he’d get you there. If you needed a couple of bucks he'd give you all he had. Harry didn’t mind. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Nicole. Harry is survived by two sons A.J. Royal & Companion Jessica Beach, David Royal and Companion, Julianne Lipzok. He is also survived by a sister, Robin Parker, a brother, Terry, husband of Helene Royal. He is also survived by his grandsons, Jonah Tobash and Jaxson Royal, his former wife, Andrea McClintock and Dan Tobash. Harry is also survived by his companion Melissa Radziewicz. Nieces and cousins. A Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday July 11th at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. in Minersville. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery .
