Carolyn Beatrice Penberth

Carolyn Beatrice (Reedy) Penberth, 81, of Pottsville passed away Saturday, April 1st at LVHN Cedar Crest with family by her side. Carolyn was born in Pottsville, Pa. on August 10, 1941 and was raised in Palo Alto, a daughter of the late Carrie Beatrice (Freeze) and William Harvey Reedy. She was the widow of Thomas J Penberth Sr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Homovich, Anna Mae (Betty) Hardy, Ida Wallace, Catherine Reedy, Edward Reedy, William Reedy, Melvin Reedy, and a Granddaughter, Ashly Penberth. Carolyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Carolyn is survived by 5 children, Terry Ann Penberth, companion of the late George Hoy Sr., Brenda Hinkle, Cheryl, wife of George Ferry, Thomas J. Jr., husband of Kerri Penberth, Carrie, wife of Chris Wenner. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren , Nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held on Wednesday , April 12th, at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Port Carbon, with S. Regnal Leibensperger S.A.L.M. officiating. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
