Carol Ann Ryan, 84, formerly of MarLin, passed away April 16th at the Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Schoentown, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Lazarchick) Tomecheck.
She was formerly employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry and at the Sun Ray and Jacks Sandwich Shop, Pottsville.
She was a member of the Holy Family Parish, Minersville.
Carol loved to do crafts. She made her own Christmas balls and ornaments. She loved working in her yard and enjoyed going to the casino’s. Carol could always be found with a Coca Cola in her hand. Carol had a special fondness for her cats.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jay” Ryan, and a brother, Edwartd Tomecheck. Carol is survived by her sister, Dolores Stutzman, Sister-in-law’s Clare Trasatt and Nettie Ryan. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am May 1st at St. Michael the Archangel Church of the Holy Family Parish with Fr. Jojappa Adagatla, MSC officiating. .
Interment St. Kieran #2. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the Holy Family Parish Memorial Fund.
