Carol Ann Maley

Carol A (McAloose) Maley, passed away Thursday, November 13th at her home in Buck Run.

Born February 22nd, 1947, Carol was the daughter of the late John D. & Loretta (Lipsett) McAloose.

Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years Eugene D. Maley Sr. (Buck Run), sons Mark & Matthew, three grandchildren Sophia, Matthew Jr. and Noah Maley, and sister Maureen (James) Krasnitsky of Buck Run, in addition to numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Eugene D. Maley Jr.

Carol graduated from Cass Township High School in 1964. In 1981, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Shippensburg State College. For nearly 20 years, she was employed as an elementary school teacher at Corpus Christi Catholic School in Chambersburg, PA.

Carol was loved and admired by her students and other faculty throughout her teaching career. Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend to all. She loved to cook and bake, until unable to do so due to physical impairments. She was a strong supporter of Penn State football, and the Philadelphia Phillies; and she loved her best "four-legged" friend, Teddy.

Carol will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, her kindness and thoughtfulness by always placing others before herself, her wisdom, and her gentleness.

All are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation 8:30: to 10:00 AM on Friday, November 21st at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Michael's Church of the Holy Family Parish of Minersville, with Fr. Jojappa Adagatla, MSC officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital www.stjude.org/donate.

Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery.
