Bartbara Ann Nevils

Barbara A. Nevils, 72, of Mar Lin, lost her lengthy battle with COPD on November 30, 2022, at Geisinger St. Lukes , Orwigsburg. She passed over listening to her favorite songs surrounded by the love of her family. Barbara was born on May 7,1950, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice "Pepper" (Smolskis) Rumpf of Jonestown. Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Minersville Area High School. She worked in various garment factories and then at C.P. Lighting, Inc. She attended and graduated from the Schuylkill Technology Center's Culinary Program. Following graduation, she was employed at the Crazy Chameleon restaurant in Orwigsburg. Before retiring she worked at Uncle Cone's where she served the best breakfast in town. Barbara loved her family and friends dearly. She loved baking, gardening, hand-feeding peanuts to her chippys and traveling with her husband, Bill. A beautiful, loyal, kind soul gone too soon. Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister, Linda Rumpf, and her daughter, Sarah Purcell. Surviving are her husband, the love of her life, William Nevils, two children, David Purcell, Jonestown, Amy Kanezo, wife of Keith, Seltzer, her grandchildren, Kenneth Purcell, Jacob and Joshua Kanezo, a sister, Lori Rumpf, a brother, Robert Rumpf, Jr., nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barbara requested that no services be held. She never wanted a fuss made over her in life and did not want anyone to be sad when she passed. She is at peace now.
